As I wrote in my post about the drone flap yesterday, it was very strange that our government was just telling us “we don’t know” instead of just making an excuse up. But since I posted the article, the US federal government has acted more predictably: deny, deny, deny.
In the above video, John Kirby, White House National Security Communications Adviser, tries to reassure us that there is no threat even though they can’t corroborate any drone activity. He tells us not to worry, if the President thinks there is a threat, he’ll give the US permission to act.
You mean BIDEN gets the ultimate say-so here? The senile lame duck who needs to retire into an assisted living home? Oh, that makes me feel a lot better /sarcasm.
Fortunately, journalists were doing their job for once and having none of it. “Make it make sense,” said the blond reporter, who was clearly frustrated.
The DHS (Department of Homeland Security) and FBI also posted this joint statement yesterday, which is a slap in the face to the residents of New Jersey:
So the DHS/FBI flat out lied here, because there have been confirmed sightings of drones over restricted air space. From NJ.com:
At least two drones were spotted above another military base in New Jersey during the recent surge in unexplained sightings across the state, Navy officials said.
Naval Weapons Station Earle, a military base in Colts Neck in Monmouth County, has had two reports of drones in its airspace, facility spokesman William Addison said Thursday.
“While no direct threats to the installation have been identified, we can confirm at least two instances of an unidentified drone entering the airspace above Naval Weapons Station Earle,” he said. “The base remains prepared to respond to any potential risks, leveraging robust security measures and advanced detection capabilities.”
Der Spiegel has also reported multiple drone sightings in Germany over sensitive industrial facilities in Germany and the U.S. military base in Ramstein, Rhineland-Palatinate, the defense company Rheinmetall, and the chemical company BASF.
Belleville, NJ Mayor Michael Melham got some alarming info as well, saying: “We were briefed that we’ve had Coast Guard working with our New Jersey State Police, our helicopters have seen them. We asked, well, when they go out to sea, are we going to shoot them down? No, we’re not going to shoot them down. Why not? We’re told, well, we don’t know. There might be a payload on them. There may be this on them, may be that on them. … The drones should be shot down.”
Meanwhile, last night was a crazy night for drone reports, including a possible drone crashing in Morris County, NJ, drones shooting laser-like streams that some are saying was just a military exercise, and alleged drones with contrails/chemtrails that some are suggesting are just regular planes.
