Revenge on the Woke? Catharsis or Civilization Are False Options

Cult deprogramming is what is needed.

James Lindsay, who has been critical of “woke” and critical theories for many years now, has just published a new short podcast about how to move forward now that the Democrats are no longer in federal power.

His analysis presumes that the “anti-woke” forces have two choices - an emotional catharsis, which he vaguely implies will lead to the destruction of civilization…but it’s not clear how, and “civilization.”

Many commenters on his podcast have pointed out that revenge is not what they want, but accountability.

We can see from the deadly fires in Southern California that prioritizing DEI over basic common sense things can lead to literal death.

A woman who talks a big game about “equity” is being paid $750,000/year in Los Angeles to manage water supplies, but kept a critical reservoir dry prior to a major fire event because the cover was being repaired.

I don’t think any anti-woke folks are advocating literal violence against this greedy DEI huckster. They want her fired and replaced with someone who can actually do the damn job, paid with a reasonable and not outrageous salary.

The biggest problem is that our entire educational system has been hijacked by woke ideology, which has now spread to critical infrastructure as well as the entire medical profession.

Caught in the wild, a ridiculous, anti-science sentence on a website, Osmosis, that purports to be a trusted source of medical information, spews anti-science nonsense in their entry on anhedonia:

Screw chromosomes and genitalia, gender stereotypes have now replaced sex in the world of medicine and science. How did we get here?

You can’t recover from years of brainwashing and indoctrination with either “catharsis” or “civilization.”

We now have adults who grew up learning junk gender science and toxic oppression ideologies, brainwashed minions who are running our schools, governments, and corporations.

Many of these adults are emotionally crippled. (Yes, I am using the word “crippled,” not some woke replacement word.)

Their brains have been literally hard-wired to respond emotionally to any number of triggers, from the vision of Trump to the word “gypsy.”

When a loved one gets sucked into a cult, sometimes an intervention can save them. However, how do you intervene when the cult has taken over all major institutions?

So-called anti-woke people are needed to “infiltrate” these institutions and start to phase out woke ideologies and language changes.

But you can’t do this by screaming and yelling (catharsis), and sometimes you may need to be less than “civilized” to get the job done. By this I mean, sometimes hostile takeovers, like Elon Musk buying out Twitter, will need to happen.

And the best, third option is to build new, better institutions to replace the old ones that have become corrupt and cultified,
