While agree with the general direction of your article you make the same mistake many on the left do by assuming the corporatism the Italian fascist supported in the 1930s has the same meaning as we use today. It does not. Corporatism is late 19th century guild like political movement that was more akin to socialism. It has nothing to do with corporations as we know them now.
You get points for wading into the cesspools of idiots, retards and deranged people - credentialed and non-credentialed.
Mine is an unpopular take, because for generations the leftist radicals, who as we saw during the scamdemic, are always happy to imposed "for the greater good" draconian tyranny and then when it turns out they F'ed up and may actually be at risk of retribution, ask for kumbaya forgiveness, harmony, hugs and kisses and of course expect you to admit that your actions pushed them to their actions, that happened to harm and kill millions.
You cannot compromise or make peace with these people. There is no deprogramming that will work, aside from them being overtly steam rolled, by their controllers and handlers. It won't matter if they are sickened by their own health measures or their kids, that they gleefully transed die of complications, to include manic depression that results in suicide. It will never be their faults or due to their deranged, lack of common sense and apex indoctrination and brain washing. They literally will think that because they were right (which means supporting any action or measure fighting the bad orange man), that anything that happens (even to them and their families) is just the price of doing libtard business. The goal is the key.
We need to accept that this half of the population are generationally and institutionally created, destroyers. They have been so demoralized and brainwashed that they were pushing hard for WW3; opened the borders for 4 years to an invasion that not only brought in millions of unvetted gang members, rapists, drug dealers, terrorists and general criminals, but also hastened the ruin of not only the national but local economies in the process. They happily pushed the climate hoax and decimated millions of acres of land to erect turbines and solar farms, with no care of the flora and fauna that would be disrupted. Not to mention the whales - who were once more protected by the left, than a trans 5 year old is today - that are dying in surprising numbers around the sea based wind farms. They would also have people eating bugs (but not themselves of course) and ultra processed lab grown meats, which will keep those christ like oncologistsand credentialed saviors, in business for decades.
These people will sabotage any headway we make in health, geopolotics, child safety and development, the economy, the revamping of our justice system and eradicating the swamp. They will obediently march toward the enemy, that their regime handlers tell them to.
My solution is to sideline them. Economically bankrupt them, where you find them. Yes, yes, it's so mean and "being like them"...which is the narrative THEY sold you. Just like the "Well if you really aren't the nazis we say you are, then prove it and forgive us, even after we tried to kill and ruin you..." propaganda they sold you.
The truth is, the only way you will save yoursenes, children, families, culture and country from sliding beneath the leftist, progressive, globalist waves, is to defeat and ruin them.
You'd do the same to any enemy, that was besieging your home, city or country or you'd perish. It's as simple as that and this is no different.
You cannot have it both ways. The relative societal peace you thought you had, over the last 8 decades was two things:
1) You being stupid and not realizing that they, like rats, were hiding, reproducing and looking for the new and better ways to get into your house, eat your food and spread disease.
2) They do not want peace. They want complete domination of you and complete capitulation from you. Enough is never enough for them - until you are broken, dead or both.
You can't have a healthy, thriving and relatively sane society, when you tolerate and entertain these destroyers.
i understand completely why you feel the way you do. i also implore you to figure out a way to let it go -- for your sake. the last thing most of us want to experience is on-going tit-for-tat/the blame game/insult tennis/etc. we have got to move forward. i agree w/stephanie that most were simply taken in and took the easy way out by letting other think/speak for them. i believe many can and will wake up. she's also right in that it won't be easy, but it will be easier if there is forgiveness (not forgetting) so we can focus on moving forward. there can and ought to be legal consequences in some situations, but for those of us who felt insulted, hurt, isolated, etc., we need to do whatever we can to healthfully 'let it go' and move on.
Thank you! I totally get what you are saying, but I look at it this way. First, I used to be one of them, a die-hard progressive afraid the mean scary Republicans were out to get me as a woman. Second, many of these folks are simply sheep, herd animals. They just need to be herded into a more positive direction. That means taking over entertainment, education, and media so they can be driven into a positive mindset, not a fear-based one. Some might fully wake up and take on the cause of true freedom. This will take a lot of work but I believe it's doable, as many of them are my younger self.
Such “reassurances” have little affect I’m afraid now. With no guardrails left to inhibit dictatorial actions on the part of ANY political entity: chaos is kind of inevitable now.
My partner and I made plans for a vacation home outside of the country. We’re seriously considering on making it permanent. We’re older and don’t want to be around the emotional or physical trauma any longer.
We’re also making arrangements to have anyone in the family, or with identities that might put them in harms way: to join us.
Time to make another nation. (It worked before …).
As kindly as I can say this: You won't listen, you won't learn, and you project your own hatred out onto others. You talk about "emotional and physical trauma" but refuse to consider how the left emotionally terrorizes everyone into compliance with their worldview. The fact that you are wealthy enough to afford a second home shows how out of touch you are. Frankly, the USA will be better off if lacking in self-awareness people like you leave. The main question I have is: Are you moving to primarily white Canada like so many of your compatriots or to Iran? China? Afghanistan?
You are so hopelessly misinformed that I don’t even know where to begin! Just a very, very tiny attempt to counteract your dangerous drivel: Remember when Trump ignored Covid, advised use of bleach pills and internal UV radiation, and said it “would go away”? Well, 1.2 million Americans died because of that gross mishandling.
Stephanie, I suggest you read Bob Woodward’s (you know, one of our most famous journalists, who with Carl Bernstein, who cowrote “All The Presidents Men,” breaking the story about Nixon’s coverup of the Watergate break in) book entitled “The Trump Tapes,” documenting his many interviews over time with Trump during COVID, describing and documenting Trump’s complete mishandling of the crisis that resulted in over one million American deaths. I, myself, witnessed the press conference in which Trump suggested outlandish solutions to the crisis of bleach and internal UV radiation. Now, Stephanie, you should know that I am a physician and medical school professor, with a Master of Science in Public Health, in addition to an MD. And, you really need to reconsider your conspiratorial views on how everything thing that’s negative about Trump is a “lie” or that search engines suppress “facts” that would have demonstrated Trump wasn’t being stupid, when he was, in fact, being very stupid, and continues to be dangerously
Oh boy, one of those "credentialists." The article I linked to clearly explained what Trump said about "bleach" (he NEVER said to consume actual bleach!). If you can't even get basic facts straight about what Trump actually said, why the hell should we trust anything else you say? It's physicians like you that are bought and paid for by Big Pharma, who don't do your homework, and just spew whatever bullshit the bought and paid for CDC/FDA tell you to parrot. As a group, physicians absolutely destroyed their credibility during covid...and I see I'll need to craft a write-up for that as well.
And, finally, I just love the way that “non-credentialed” people label those of us with high levels of education “credentialists”—that’s a new one for me! If you get something like cancer or triple-vessel coronary disease, I do hope you seek the most highly “credentialed” oncologist or cardiologist, respectively, you can find. Ok, that’s it, Stephanie, I have absolutely no further time trying to respond to your endless defense of Trump. Bye, bye, Stephanie. I do wish you well.
I used to work for a bunch of doctors that thought they knew everything. They were wrong a lot of the time, especially about COVID. I even had the pleasure of pointing it out to a few of them.
I graduated at the absolute top of my class in college--it doesn't make me smarter than everyone else.
You can just stop right there with the cancer, as Western medicine can't cure it and I watched my loved one die of mRNA induced turbo cancer after taking al the newest cancer drugs that were billed at $16,000/month.
Except that Trump has been known to keep a copy of Mein Kampf on his bedside table, and Professor Ruth Ben Ghiat, New York University, who has made her life work studying dictators (read her book “Strong Men from Mussolini to Present”) quite clearly has described Trump’s very autocratic and fascistic tendencies. And, frankly, I find personally Trump very frightening
Well, if Ruth Ben Ghiat from NY University said it, then it must be true! Along with the rumor that Trump has been known to keep a copy of Mein Kampf on his bedside table. 🤷♀️
..stupid, and, in my professional opinion as a specialist in geriatric medicine, is very cognitively impaired. So, please, please stop your nonsense, I really don’t have any more time for you. Thank you so much.
"I don’t even know where to begin!" Here's a clue. Why don't you stay on topic and discuss the points actually brought up in the article about the Biden administration's censorship efforts, for example, instead of veering off into your own "misinformation" and lie that Trump recommended bleach "pills." The ultraviolet IV treatment is an advanced technology that showed some promise in killing covid - but the search engines will repress this now just to make Trump look stupid when he wasn't being stupid. https://nurse.org/articles/uv-light-therapy-coronavirus-covid19/
Steph, this person Rose Maly is clearly just a paid troll. You write too well and argue too well to waste time responding to him/her. It's a classic tactic of the Left that I've faced on Twitter: they keep you engaged in arguing, so you don't have as much time to write your very sane and persuasive tomes, because you are a real threat to the fake news media.
This is brilliant, bravo Stephanie Burgundy! Re "The Trump voter wants less centralized power" please consider that a key to decentralization is a property tax shift from buildings/ homes to land value in order to curb land hoarding and speculation, corporate buy outs of housing, and encourage market forces to go to work to supply affordable housing while financing needed public infrastructure. I write at Aradhana Airwaves and also admin for theIU.org
In response to a comment on Notes where a woman dismissed this article as "wishful thinking" and brought up the Patriot Act and "Project 2025":
You don’t get it. With Kamala Harris being backed by the Cheney and Bush families, SHE would be the new Patriot Act. The covid censorship orchestrated by the Biden administration, the CDC, and the FDA, was also not wishful thinking. The Biden administration also tried to set up a disinformation czar and only backed off when people rallied against it. But the Biden admin did pressure Big Tech companies to censor.
The Democrats also pushed vaccine mandates, and leftist cancel culture will viciously go after anyone who is concerned about medicalizing gender in kids or try to ruin the lives of doctors for prescribing the highly safe, Nobel prize winning ivermectin. I could go on.
In short, the Democrats have become the party of authoritarianism, and canards over Project 2025, which Trump has repeatedly said he’s not a part of, are a sidestep from what the Democrat authoritarians have ALREADY DONE. I am a woman, I voted against Harris because I voted against war, against censorship, and against medical mandates. I voted against Big Pharma running the FDA. I voted against lies and dividing Americans over gender and race. I voted against hate when I voted against the Democrats.
I'm seeing a whole lot of leftists utterly shell-shocked this morning. They were clearly blindsided by the election results, which is hardly surprising given how blatantly CNN, ABC, and NBC were cheer-leading for Kamala Harris and making it seem like everyone felt that way.
I have to give credit to Fox News for hosting that woke-liberal talk-show "The View." Though most of the Fox shows and commentators were clearly in Trump's camp, "The View" was an active reminder that not everyone felt that way. If Harris had managed to win the election, Fox Viewers who occasionally tuned into 'The View' would have had some clue why. That give-the-other-side-a-say balance was completely absent in the Democratic media, with the result that one half of America was completely in the dark about what the other half of America was feeling.
So far all I'm hearing from the leftist press is "misinformation" "misogyny" and "racism". Maybe at some point they will recognize that some fearless introspection is required.
As you want to slant it. But many Dems felt the media was leaning too much toward Trump. It’s all a lot of hot air wanting to slant it how we want others to see it. Very disappointing to see this happening g here. But ppl LOVE to see evil in others but never in themselves. And that is the only place they truly have control.
Bruce, Last I looked, The View is hosted on ABC. It was started by Barbara Walters 25 years ago. Has been ridiculous the entire time. Fox has a token left winger on several programs (like The Five) but nothing like The View could survive on that network...thank goodness.
My bad. I've seen so many clips of The View replayed on Fox, I'd always assumed it was a Fox show. That only marginally shifts the argument though - Fox puts way more attention into showing what the other side thinks, albeit often in the context of "Look how crazy the Left is". If you don't know what the other side thinks, you're cruising blind into the future. A lot of Democrats just found that out.
You are wrong. The original Nazis were socialist - Hitler put into place many popular worker's programs. Fascism under Mussolini was not worker friendly. One of the key aspects of Fascism is the combination of corporate and state power, often referred to as the corporate state. In this system, the government and large corporations work together to control the economy and society, with the state regulating the economy to benefit the corporations and the corporations supporting the state in exchange for favorable policies.
Under the Biden regime, big government colluded with Big Tech to censor Americans. They also colluded with Big Pharma to try to force people to get covid injections and suppressed cheap competitors (Ivermectin). That's classic Fascism.
The best, most concise explanation of what happened and why. EXCELLENT!!!
It was all Elon, all the time:

Thank you Stephanie fur your “sensitivity” and “awareness” about my personal situation of which you know nothing.
I can’t afford a lavish lifestyle, I just want my freedom from government restrictions and interference in my personal life, and so do
my friends and family. The land is a farm, owned worked for generations, by our ancestors and parents. It’s small and humble but it’s fine.
You’ve many incorrect assumptions about me.

And I didn’t vote for either main candidate).

Well done.
BTW, Woodward is a partisan reporter. I also know someone who knows Trump personally and he's not the evil Hitler caricature you think he is.

You managed to make a couple of salient points. I can’t agree with all of them, but you’ve raised some very interesting and valid questions.
