The journalist who made the video at the start of this post says that it in fact shows Maccaby fans attacking a Dutchman, and has withdrawn permission for the video to be used.
The rush to condemn what happened in Amsterdam as 'anti-semitism' and a 'pogrom' is very premature. Perhaps finding out what actually happened would be a good place to start.
I don't care what someone allegedly chanted or which flags they tore down, if your response is attempted murder, you just lost the high ground and are the asshole here.
Ugly-drunk soccer hooligans are not limited to Israel. (The Brits are probably world champs in this regard.) But portraying these thugs as innocent victims is a bit much, and speaks volumes about the biases of the mainstream media.
Beware of propaganda on both sides. People who are obsessed about "Zionists" are typically extremely antisemitic, as evidenced by how hyperfocused they are on the topic. There's a big line between legit criticism of Israeli government policy and veering over into blind hatred of Israel while forgiving all the civil rights and abuses of the other side.
The issue is people don't know the truth and they listen to media and they don't research it for themselves. This is prophetic and we know it and it sucks.
What these terrorist groups and murderers have done to Israel for a little sliver of land, which actually they own so much more of course people don't talk about that either.

And to be honest, I don't think Israel has responded, harshly enough.
And this administration needed to stay out of it because they didn't let them get the job done, which is part of what caused this continuous problem.
