(And thank you for the motivation to find the actual photos of Andry. I talk about following information to its roots, but I took the word of media who has gotten so much wrong. (It wasn't only the mainstream media that talked about this, but it was all cited back to CBS, and I don't doubt they're capable of pretending a picture exists, as they flooded the world with fake "research".

But the photos of Andry Hernandez Romero are real, he is a human being who was not deported - sent back to his homeland, he was locked in a place it's hard not to describe without sounding hyperbolic, and there's no there-there to the reason why.)

It's possible to see that as profoundly fucked up and tragic, and also see open borders and the horrors that come from that (and much of the current left) as profoundly fucked up and tragic.

https://x.com/BlueATLGeorgia/status/1909055333621788754

Even if "BlueATLGeorgia" has celebrated covid shot mandates and called mastectomies for children "affirming care", even if they mocked "horse de wormer" and swore the shots are especially awesome for "pregnant people", and then they fawned all over the empty wine glass that is Kamala Harris -

(I assume they did, I don't know for sure. But I know it's a group mind of propaganda and manipulated compassion.)

... That doesn't change that once in awhile, even narrative mouthpieces share something true. It's not about them, it's about what's happening to human beings by this (maybe AI assisted?) sweep where innocent people get targeted along with the type of monsters you rightly want out of this country And behind bars, because they do deserve that.

But this guy doesn't. And if it's about "who" is sharing the info so fully and certainly that everything shared by that group mind is automatically disqualified before it's even considered ... sensemaking also suffers, and propaganda grows in other forms ...

That would mean by extension of the NY Times being a propaganda piece of shit responsible for so much misplaced trust, that their writing about Palantir being welcomed into the Trump administration is all TDS-hallucinating lies. I'd rather learn about Palantir from Catherine Austin-Fitts and Derrick Broze / Last American Vagabond folks than from the New York Times.

https://tlavagabond.substack.com/p/welcome-to-the-palantir-world-order

But just because it's touched by the propaganda media doesn't deem it automatically false. But it should invite more skepticism. I should have done more to track down the original photo.

I don't doubt there are some monsters who have brutalized innocents, or are capable of it, who the narrative describes in backwards ways, and drums up sympathy for.

But before putting human beings in a place like CECOT, due diligence should be done to not throw in innocent people. Even if the goal of making innocent Americans safer is right, and urgent morally and physically.

It seems like similar logic to how the true vaccine believers think / dismiss the injured, not the propaganda spinners who know what they're doing, but the ones who truly believe they do far more good than harm, but may acknowledge a few do get injured here and there. In their minds, many more lives are being saved. So people like Bri Dressen and Madde De Garay aren't real humans, just part of what happens when an imperfect system mobilizes.

The good guys are not in charge now. There may be some better things .. ( actually I think less child trafficking, less born in the wrong body indoctrination, and covid shot mandates at least probably being dead, are huge, that Kamala's team would have been worse on ...

https://anotherbetrayedliberal.substack.com/p/note-for-liberals-and-progressives

But they're not that different, what's framed as two opposite teams, to keep us contemptously divided.

As Mark Crispin Miller says, "“We ALL should try to take the high road (inconceivable though that may be), and join forces to bring down our REAL enemies, who are really neither left nor right, but sway them both, from high above” - Mark Crispin Miller

Hi Stephanie, I'm just seeing this now. I may write a better response soon, this is just a short response while very tired. I fully agree with what you say about the mainstream media and open borders, two things I don't support. But 100% disbelieving everything said isn't the answer either, and your premise is a false equivalence.

This is a picture of Andry Hernandez Romero in prison, at 1:56 of this short clip, and at 2:15 he can be seen praying. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1727859801456892 He's from Venezuela, not El Salvador.

Maybe the photojournalist is lying when he said the man identified by his lawyer and family as a gay man said "soy gay", in Spanish (probably the photojournalist who spent a long time in El Salvador can easily translate Spanish - English), maybe he was lying when he wrote this -

"The intake began with slaps. One young man sobbed when a guard pushed him to the floor. He said, “I’m not a gang member. I’m gay. I’m a barber.” I believed him. But maybe it’s only because he didn’t look like what I had expected—he wasn’t a tattooed monster."

( https://time.com/7269604/el-salvador-photos-venezuelan-detainees/ - mainstream media, I know. Does that invalidate all these pictures?) You're right that Andry's picture wasn't in the Forbes article, I had to look for it, but I found it.

(I don't know what Philip Holsinger, the photojournalist's, motivations are, but I could see how one "side" would want pictures of the CECOT facility and "intake" to be seen to scare people away from coming into the US, and to encourage others to self deport. And the other side - yes, they (both) manipulate by emotions.) And with the massive amount of guards there, and how they fully restrain each inmate, probably Holsinger was safe.

Just guessing that trauma might scramble someone's brain where they don't think through the logic of saying "I'm gay" as they enter a confinement center and are put in chains. Probably that became obvious to everyone who looked at him.

Yes, rape and murder are traumatic, beyond words, and the border should never have been opened. I've heard Michael Yon say, without hate or racism, just pragmatic observation, that some cultures just rape anyone they want, and say "well her ankles were showing", and will kill anyone who has a problem with that. I'm not doubting that. That's one of the reasons I voted for Trump and I do not support open borders.

I just think Andry's case is an example of someone who looks nothing like a rapist, with no criminal record (while you criticize me taking some of the media at its word after trying to find info that counters it, do you take the gov't at its word when they say they did legwork to make sure they only were sending criminals to CECOT?)

More pictures of him here, and statements from his lawyer, I'm sure there will be plenty you'll disagree with about her politics ~ https://x.com/L_Toczylowski?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

You criticize me for how I used the word disappeared, but being locked up, with no access to the outside world or phone calls, when someone's lawyers and family can't find them, that sounds like disappeared. "Deported" - as in being sent back to one's homeland, is Not "disappeared" - there may be lots of people conflating deportation with disappearance, but that wasn't what I was doing.

By generalizing that any deportee (being chained in CECOT is not deportation, but .. ) = a future rapist, that seems like a dehumanizing false equivalence. But I was thinking similar about Kilmar Abrego Garcia. On its own, the evidence for him to be in a place like CECOT, as opposed to "deported", seems not strong enough. But if there's any "there there" to his connections to MS-13, and there might be - even if he has not yet committed a CECOT -level crime, there's a chance he will. At least, "Maryland man" / "Maryland Dad", leaves out a lot.

In that case, I could see locking up someone who even maybe has the potential to do what was done to Jocelyn Nungaray.

At least the gov't produced Something when pried about evidence for Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

About the media - I hear you, really. I spent forever writing this article to try to lessen the trust people have in the media, with their horrible track record and no roots to most of their info - https://anotherbetrayedliberal.substack.com/p/information-permaculture-and-cooties

But do you believe media on the right at face value, that says the gov't, this gov't, now of the "good guys", did due diligence to make sure everyone sent to confinement centers, not just deported, was a gang member / violent criminal?

Prediction - the media who will be able to look back in a few years and see that their reporting was the most thorough, honest, and true, are neither left nor right bias, but question all of it. The Last American Vagabond journalists (& James Corbett / Whitney Webb, etc) were way ahead of me and never believed the narrative of the left / Democrats, but they also questioned the narrative on the right and never trusted Trump.

https://tlavagabond.substack.com/

They also see dehumanization and abuses of power with how humans are thrown in CECOT with no due process, and they see many things to not trust about the Trump administration, while they never trusted "Biden" / Harris, and knew that the covid shots were way worse than pharma cutting corners with safety.

Meant with respect .. I'm not minimizing the horrors that some criminal migrants have done to other human beings, I don't mean that at all (but this will probably be misunderstood). I just don't think that creating more horrors to other human beings with what looks like zero due diligence some of the time is the answer.

https://charleseisenstein.substack.com/p/immigration-the-plutonium-seed-of

None of what I'm saying is coming from mind-virus TDS. It's objective observation from the other side of TDS that shifted years ago, trying to be objective and hold multiple truths at the same time. I don't blindly trust the mainstream media. I was so jaded by the narrative of the left, from covid / the vaccine religion, the trans activist cult, open borders and child trafficking, "Biden", "diversity" hypocrisy, etc, etc, etc, that I assumed they were as wrong about everything.

But objectively, not just trusting Forbes, etc, I'm seeing reasons to not trust a lot that's happening now. And the importance of questioning everything. Questioning everything doesn't mean being blinded by Trump-hate and reflexively hating every single thing he does. That's not where I'm coming from.

https://anotherbetrayedliberal.substack.com/p/note-for-liberals-and-progressives - in defense of Trump voters and attempting to counter the assumption that Trump voters sided against the vulnerable.

I may not have been clear in my original comment that I was Not reacting to illegal migrants being sent back to their homelands. That's what I voted for. But people who came legally being imprisoned in a country they're not even from, with no access to lawyers, nor stated reason for locking them up that can be verified isn't deportation.

Does that make sense? . . .

The reason these people are being deported is because they pose a threat to all of us! This country has always been happy to welcome immigrants. - when they come in the right way! The left has been encouraging them to sneak in the wrong way and that is the problem! They need to be gone and that will save many, many young lives!!
